Boy Scout Troop 935

pioneeringclass.jpgTroop 935 was founded in 1993 by the only scoutmaster whom the troop has ever known, Mr. Richard Morriss. The troop is sponsored by Pittman Park United Methodist Church out of Statesboro, Georgia. 

boyscout6.jpgMeetings are held every Tuesday evening from 7:00-8:15 pm in the Pittman Park Fellowship Hall where scout meetings consist of information dissemination, earning merit badges, planning campouts or other upcoming events, playing games and working on service projects.

Every month a campout or other special event is held on a weekend. Weekends consists of White Water Rafting, Kayaking Trips, Hiking in the Mountains, Going to Museums, District and Council Campouts, Local Campouts and many other exciting adventures.

dininghall.jpgTroop 935 is actively involved in the Order of the Arrow - Lodge #119 - Tomo Chi-Chi of the Coastal Empire Council.

A Kayaking Venturing Crew is also very active through the troop. Exciting trips are always being developed and carried out on the waterways. One of the most enjoyable parts for the crew has been kayaking on the coast around Cumberland Island.
