Worship Committee

The purpose of the worship committee is to assist Pittman Park United Methodist Church in offering settings for worship in which the community may experience the presence of God and may grow in its knowledge and love for Him. The Worship Committee is the committee responsible for assisting in the church community worship experience. This committee includes several sub-groups that enhance the worship experience.

The following ministries fall under the auspices of the Worship Committee:

• Communion Steward - Responsible for preparing the altar for Holy Communion each 1st Sunday.

• Ushers - Greet and distributes bulletins to worshipers each Sunday. Ushers collect the Sunday offering during worship services. Click Here for Usher Calendar.

• Altar Flowers - Provides a flower calendar to the congregation for volunteering to provide flowers in the sanctuary on Sunday morning and coordinated disbursement afterwards. Click Here for calendar schedule.

• Memorials - Decisions are made in this committee on how to spend gifts given in memory of others. Click Here for more details.

The Worship Committee also coordinates members to assist in special services, Father's Day, Mother's Day, etc., in providing flowers or other small mementos to worshipers. Flowers and small devotionals have been given to honor mothers and fathers.
