Committee responsibilities:
1. Absolute and unwavering commitment to physical safety and spiritual growth of the children and youth.
2. Make recommendations to all staff, committees, and any and all other groups associated with the church to enhance above #1.
3. Monitor all aspects of church activities having to do with children and youth.
4. Report to the Administrative Board on a routine basis on activities monitored, actions taken by various church groups and results. Chair of Safe Sanctuaries is a member of the Administrative Board.
5. Maintain a special relationship with the Board of Trustees concerning security and safety. Chair of Safe Sanctuaries serves in ad hoc capacity on Board of Trustees.
6. Prepare, review, and update the Church's safe sanctuary policy and provide guidance on its ramifications for all aspects of the church activities and physical plant.
7. Immediately review and act on any reports or observations of threats in the area of #1 above.
