College/Young Adult Ministries

Mission: To give the students the best Spiritual foundation we can so that they will be rooted and grounded in the Word when they leave us. We want Pittman Park to be an extended family for these young men and women.
 
GOALS for 2011:
1)   Follow up on the charter at GSU.
2)   To be more visible on the campus of GSU.
3)   To revisit the "Adopt an Eagle" program.
4)   To have at least one 24-hour prayer vigil.
5)   a. In-house mission projects - backpack buddies and the food pantry.
      b. community projects - soup kitchen and nursing homes.
      c.  college projects - shoes for Kim & Damon Bland's missions.
 
Our main focus is to have students look back on their college experience and remember Pittman Park United Methodist Church as one of their major memories. That they will be able to say that it was the beginning of a long and blessed walk with Jesus Christ. It does not matter if they stay in Statesboro or move across the world as long as we impact their lives for the Lord.
