Children's Ministries Committee
The Children's Ministries committee includes 4 areas of service.
1. Children's Ministry Director: Shelly Murphree
2. Children's Ministry Team Coordinator: Eileen Rice
3. Children's Ministry Core Group
4. Children's Ministry Support Group
The coordinator's responsibilities are organization, delegation, and to equip and support seasonal children's events throughout the calendar year... as well as offer support for our children's educational opportunities with Children's Church. The coordinator will work closely with the Staff Director of the church.
The Core Group is comprised of members who will execute the seasonal events. The goal is that each member will spearhead one event per year. The group will participate in meetings held 4-6 times that calendar year and help make important decisions as to the direction of the ministry.
The Support Group consists of parents of children in the church but not limited to just that group. These are people committed to offering support to the various events for children.
The following dates have been set for the Core Group to meet: March 10, May 12, and Aug. 11, 2010. More meetings may be set during the August meeting.
Seasonal Events are as follows:
Winter: Dinner and Movie - March 6, 2010 (Organizer: Eileen Rice)
Spring: Easter Egg-stravaganza - March 27, 2010 (Organizers:Tonya Cooper & Pat Parsons)
Summer: Vacation Bible School - June 21-26, 2010 (Organizers: Shelly Murphree, Tonya Cooper, & Connie Daughtry)
Back to School Bash - August 8, 2010 (Organizers: Cathy Marcum)
Fall: Block Party - October (Organizers: Elizabeth Lippincott)
Bible Camping - November (Organizers: Tonya Cooper)
Christmas: Birthday Party for Jesus - December 11, 2010 (Organizer: Stacie Sojka, Beth Lamb and Kelly Morris)
